Kodak Black Arrested Before Festival Performance
Rapper Kodak Black was taken into custody on Saturday night for weapon possession just before he was set to perform at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, where the Rolling Loud Music Festival is taking place. The 21-year-old artist, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was detained at the stadium and later moved to a jail awaiting a court appearance scheduled for Monday. His arrest stemmed from a lengthy investigation by federal agencies concerning violations related to firearms. This incident adds to Kodak Black's ongoing legal issues, including a previous arrest for drug and weapon charges while entering the U.S. from Canada. Additionally, he faces charges in South Carolina for allegedly assaulting a high school student. At the same festival, fellow rapper Lil Wayne was also searched by police, leading him to refuse to perform, stating he would not accept police scrutiny while doing his job. The Rolling Loud Festival, which features numerous prominent artists, began on Friday with performances from Migos and Cardi B among others.
